Drew Peterson lawyer fired after feud erupts

A feud between Drew Peterson's defense attorneys has broken out into the open as one of them was fired. Former Peterson lawyer Steve Greenberg accuses lead counsel Joel Brodsky of treating the other defense lawyers like "dogs."

"I thought he had five great lawyers and unfortunately he had six lawyers in total and the sixth one should go down in history with Herbert Hoover and the captain of the Titanic in sinking the ship," said Greenberg.

"This is absolutely sour grapes by Mr. Greenberg," said Brodsky. "He is trying to shift the blame away from himself for this, for the conviction, even though anybody who has talked to the jurors know this jury was going to convict Mr. Peterson."

It was Brodsky's decision to call Harry Smith to the stand. Smith was the divorce attorney for Peterson's murdered third wife Kathleen Savio.

Greenberg says that strategy and others got Peterson indicted and convicted. He believes that without Smith's testimony Peterson almost certainly would have been acquitted.
