On Sunday, September 16, 2012, one organization wants to change that with the annual "SEA Blue Chicago Prostate Cancer Walk/ Run." (http://www.seablueprostatewalk.org ) "SEA" stands for Support, Educate and Advocate for prostate cancer survivors and families. The event will offer free PSA Testing. Tom Kirk, CEO of US Too Prostate Cancer (http://www.ustoo.org), joined us live during our ABC7 News Sunday Morning to talk about the importance of early detection and how the event is helping in the fight against prostate cancer. Us TOO International is a grassroots non-profit prostate cancer education and support network of 325 chapter support groups worldwide, providing men and their families with free information, materials and peer-to-peer support so they can make informed choices on detection, treatment options and coping with ongoing survivorship. Wellness Place (http://www.wellnessplace.org ) is a cancer education and support center serving those diagnosed with cancer, as well as their family, friends and caregivers. Services and programs are offered at no cost to participants.
