Two men pulled their neighbor from his burning home in west suburban Warrenville as firefighters raced to the scene around 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

The home was fully engulfed in flames moments before they arrived, the two neighbors heard screams and ran toward the burning house. They saw a man inside, collapsed at a window.

"Lots of screaming and chaos and at some point saw one person still in the house kind of draped through the window," neighbor Lionel Martinez.

"As we ran up, you know, I think the gas might of even popped or blown or something, and so we just kind of lifted him up," said neighbor Mike Logan. "He was a bit heavy, and we pulled him out, and tried to drag him as far away."

Paramedics transported the injured man to a local hospital. Four other residents managed to get out of the house without any injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
