Low fat Yogurt might help heart health

September 20, 2012

A new study tracked 2,000 adults without high blood pressure for 14 years. Researchers found that participants with 2 percent or more of their daily calories coming from yogurt were 31 percent less likely to develop high blood pressure.

Roughly 68 million Americans have high blood pressure, which ups the risks for heart disease and strokes.

The study was presented at the American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions in Washington, DC, on Wednesday.
