Hanover Park meeting answers Islamic questions

September 22, 2012 (HANOVER PARK, Ill.)

It was organized by the Hanover Park Committee on Cultural Inclusion and Diversity.

The event was prompted by several incidents targeting Muslims including anti-Islamic writing found at an Evergreen Park Cemetery.

"I think it's important for the people of our community to know they can come and have their children go to school, they can live in their neighborhood and they can come and go to work peacefully and live with their neighbors in harmony," said Hanover Park Village President Rodney Craig.

An outreach coordinator from the Chicago Chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations led the forum and took questions from those in attendance.
