3-question survey might help diagnose ovarian cancer sooner

September 28, 2012

A new study finds a simple three-question survey might identify women who have symptoms that may indicate a problem.

The questionnaire can be given in a doctor's office and asks women if they are experiencing one or more of these symptoms: abdominal or pelvic pain, feeling full quickly and unable to eat normally, abdominal bloating or increased abdomen size.

Early detection of ovarian cancer can greatly increase the likelihood of survival.
