Chicago Beer Festival, October 6th at 1pm, Union Station, $40
Details: The beginning of the best season of the year is complemented by amazing beer! The Chicago Beer Festival returns to Union Station, featuring dozens of domestic and international breweries, sampling their fall seasonal beers. The fall beer festival will have two sessions, 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm.


Jaime Kennedy LIVE, October 4th at 8:00pm, Laugh Factory, $25-35
Details: The character-driven performances of Kennedy have been a comedic staple since his breakthrough hit movie: Malibu's Most Wanted, and he has lent his talents to such popular television shows such as The Jamie Kennedy Experiment and Ghost Whisperer.


Fashion of the Opera, October 5th at 7pm, Intercontinental Chicago, $40-100
Details: Combine a fashion show with some of the best local designers accompanied by live opera performances and you get one unforgettable evening. Join Miss Chicago2012, Marisa Buchheit and Jeff Conway of 24/7 Chicago as they celebrate the American Chamber Opera.


The Second Annual Starving Artist Benefit, October 6th at 7pm, Chicago Artist Coalition, $150-200
Details: Redefining the term "starving artist," The Chicago Artist Coalition features four local up-and-coming artists paired with a chef with similar artistic appeal. The Chicago Artist Coalition outlines the deal. "Their assignment: inspire each other to create both edible "installations" to be enjoyed by the crowd and new works of art, which will be auctioned off the night of the event."


West Town Art Walk, October 5th-7th at 6pm, Chicago & Milwaukee/Ogden, FREE

Four Star Comedy Fest at Navy Pier,October 6th at 1pm, $39-$99

Bank of America Chicago Marathon, October 7th at 7:30am, Grant Park, FREE for spectators

Details: The Columbus Day Parade celebrates Christopher Columbus historic voyage to America with Italian-American culture.

Eat Global, Give Local, October 10th at 6pm, Carnivale, $125
Details: Chicago chefswill highlight world cuisine while guests enjoy a tequila and mojito bar, live music, wine stations, raffles and a photo booth. The evening is hosted by Candace Jordan and benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.

Jammin' Away The Blues 2012, Buddy Guy's Legends (700 S. Wabash Ave.), October 4th at 6pm, $40

Details: The Gene Siskel Film Center joins with the 2012 "Greek Film Fest Chicago!" in presenting three programs celebrating Hellenic storytelling. Featured films include: "Unfair World", "Fish N' Chips", and "Jerks". All films will be subtitled in English.

Sweet Honey in the Rock/The ChicagoChildren's Choir, October 4th at 7:30pm, The Harris Theatre, $10

No matter how you describe this guy's career, he's sure to not disappoint on stage.
