Argyle station back in service on CTA Red Line

Oct. 8, 2012 (CHICAGO)

The new station is the fourth of seven to be remodeled on the north section of the Red Line.

Officials say the project is a key part in revitalizing the neighborhood.

"We expedited bids and were able to complete this work during construction season... so our customers can experience the benefits of an aesthetically pleasing, safe, dry, comfortable station," said CTA President Forrest Claypool.

The new station features more turnstiles, better lighting, and the pagoda-style platform has been restored.
