Animal abuse from Kraft supplier caught on tape

Northfield-based Kraft Food says it does not condone animal abuse captured on undercover video at one of its suppliers.

Kraft says it's glad that immediate action was taken.

Three former workers at Idaho's largest dairy operation have been charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.

The video was shot by the group Mercy for Animals and showed workers stomping, dragging and beating cows inside a milking barn.

Mercy for Animals is urging Kraft to adopt new animal welfare guidelines including zero tolerance for kicking, punching and shocking cows.
