Corey Brooks' cross-country walk wraps up

The man who spent 94 days atop the roof of an abandoned motel in the dead of a Chicago winter took to the road BY FOOT June 5, 2012 for an over 3000 mile, 130 day journey to raise awareness about violence that plagues Chicago and many US communities and to raise funds to build a community center in his own neighborhood. His first vigil atop a roof was culminated with a $100,000 donation from media mogul Tyler Perry which sparked the visionary's new philanthropic sacrifice of a nationwide walk. "Project Hood Walk Across America" started with a launch from the set of Good Morning America winded through America's highways and byways and was followed by the New York Times, CNN and other national media outlets.
