Pilot who disrupted flight is out of prison

November 9, 2012

Clayton Osbon was found not guilty by reason of insanity months ago for the March 27th incident.

The flight from New York to Las Vegas was diverted to Amarillo, Texas. No one was hurt.

Prosecutors charged Osbon with interference with a flight crew.

A neuropsychologist testified that Osbon suffered a brief psychotic disorder brought on by lack of sleep.

Osbon is not allowed to board another flight without permission from the judge.
