Veterans Parade

November 10, 2012

Chicago Welcomes Home the Heroes was founded by civilians who are dedicated to raising awareness and resources for Post-9/11 Veterans and their families.

Cristopher De Phillips, founder and executive director of Chicago Welcomes Home the Heroes (CWHH) (http://www.chicagowelcomeshometheheroes.org) and Laurie Ipsen, co-founder and director of CWHH, came into our ABC7 studio to tell us about the significance of the event as well as a film screening.

The Chicago Welcomes Home the Heroes Event will feature a Reading of the Fallen Ceremony, a Welcome Home Parade, and a Veterans Resource Festival.
