Judge allows cameras in courtroom for arraignment of Naperville woman accused of killing two children

November 20, 2012 (WHEATON, Ill.)

Judge Robert Kleeman ruled Tuesday to allow the cameras for Wednesday's hearing for Elzbieta Plackowska. The suburban Chicago woman is charged with killing her son and a girl she was babysitting.

Wednesday will be the first time TV and still cameras will be allowed in a county courtroom. The county is among several to take part in an Illinois Supreme Court pilot program to allow cameras in courtrooms.

Media organizations had requested four cameras, but the judge said the locations of two of the cameras would be too distracting.
