Emergency 911 dispatchers from Berwyn are heading to New York to help their colleagues that lost everything in Superstorm Sandy.

The dispatchers are heading out Monday morning to deliver 22 storage bins full of household supplies and toiletries.

They started collecting the supplies on their own after hearing about the devastation along the east coast.

"I found an article on the website 911 Cares about FDNY dispatchers that had been affected by Hurricane Sandy," said dispatcher Lindsay Fellows. "We started contacting people from New York and just real quickly we went into action and started gathering up items to take out there."

The dispatchers will also be delivering several bags of clothes, canned food items and toys to a food pantry in New Jersey.
