Man revived from month-long coma

November 25, 2012 (SAN FRANCISCO)

On Halloween night, Benjamin Pessah was walking home from a party in San Francisco when a gunman confronted him.

Pessah was shot in the head when he stepped forward to protect his girlfriend.

Doctors gave him only a 25 percent chance of surviving.

But last Sunday, doctors revived him.

To everyone's surprise, he began speaking and soon after took his first steps.

The man accused of shooting Pessah was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
