The victims were walking when a call pulled up nearby. A man exited the vehicle and opened fire.
The woman, Shemara Fitzpatrick, 23, was shot in the chest and died.
The man, who remains unidentified, was shot in the chest and arm. He is hospitalized in serious condition.
