Police investigating possible dogfighting case in Dolton

Police are investigating a possible case of dogfighting in south suburban Dolton.

Officers were called to an industrial park on 142nd Street in Dolton about 7 p.m. Wednesday. A police spokesperson said they took several people into custody.

Police said they found at least four dogs near a makeshift ring. According to investigators, the animals showed signs of improper care and abuse.
