Suburban boy rewarded for his honesty

Charles Vacek found an envelope containing $300 dollars while walking to school in April 2012.

Though he could have pocketed the cash, Vacek turned it over to his school principal.

Police then located the owner David Weinke. A friend of Weinke's was so impressed by Vacek's actions that he gave Weinke a silver bar to pass on to the boy.

"I'm going to save it because it might be worth more money in the future," Vacek said.

The silver bar is currently worth about $350, according to police.
