South Side fire leaves family homeless

January 16, 2013 (CHICAGO)

The fire broke out at approximately 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in a three-story house on East 100th Street. Flames and heavy smoke were spreading fast when emergency crews arrived.

The building appeared to be only partially in us, but a neighboring residence was affected by the fire.

Police say four children and two adults were forced out of their home.
