This edition of HEART & SOUL co-hosted by ABC 7's Cheryl Burton and Jim Rose, with contributions from Karen Jordan and Evelyn Holmes will have an encore presentation on Sunday, February 17 at 2:30 pm. HEART & SOUL, a Chicago Emmy Award winning program, is produced by Rubye Wilson.

This edition of HEART & Soul will highlight "Literature for All of Us (LFAOU)" an organization that uses 'Book Groups' as a way to connect disadvantaged teens and young adults to reading, discussion, creative writing and self-expression.

The City's only African American-owned radio station, WVON-AM will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. HEART & SOUL takes a close up look at how the radio station propelled many African Americans to prominence and what it's doing to reach out to a new audience.

Next, HEART & SOUL turns the spotlight on Broadway in Bronzeville Productions, the Harold Washington Cultural Center's in-house production company. With the motto "Off the streets and on the Stage," Broadway in Bronzeville serves as an outlet for aspiring community artists who want to produce live theater.

Then, the show profiles the inspirational Chicago pastor, Charles Jenkins, and his ministry. Not only is this pastor working to build a new church and other properties in the Chatham community, but his new album just received five stellar awards, gospel music's highest honor.
