Research questions aspirin as stroke prevention in women

It found low dose aspirin failed to protect women against stroke and didn't help their outcomes following a stroke.

This goes against current treatment methods.

Analysis of the Women's Health study showed aspirin every other day did reduce the most common type of stroke called ischemic, but that was balanced out by an increase in hemorrhagic stroke, the type caused by bleeding of the brain.
