Mom to get out of prison after murder conviction thrown out

February 23, 2013 (CHICAGO)

That was the decision of an appeals court in the case of Nicole Harris. Last fall, her conviction in the death of her 4-year-old son Jaquari Dancy was thrown out.

Harris says she made a false confession after being interrogated for 27 hours.

An appeals court says Harris' other son should have been allowed to testify at her trial that he saw his brother wrap a cord around his neck while they were playing.
