The children are ages 5-12 years old. They were last seen at their mother and stepfather's home in Fresno Saturday. Investigators had suspected that their father, Xa Yang, picked them up and took them to Sacramento, which is what happened.
FBI agents working with Sacramento and Fresno police located the father and the children Thursday afternoon. Yang had not been in the children's life for years and just recently reappeared. It's not clear yet if Yang will face charges in the case.
The children's mother and stepfather left them alone to go to a grocery store Saturday evening. The mother and stepfather told police when they returned from the store the children - along with their clothes in the home - were gone.
Investigators said they found no signs of forced entry and they didn't believe the children were in any danger. They didn't issued an Amber Alert. The children are ages, 12, 11, 10, 8, 7, 6 and 5.
