Cleotha Staples remembered at funeral

Nicknamed "Cleedi," Cleotha Staples was one of the founding members of the Grammy Award-winning group The Staple Singers.

Staples' funeral service was held at Trinity United Church of Christ. She died last week at her home in Chicago at the age of 78.

Staples was laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery where her parents and one of her sisters are also buried.

Cleotha Staples was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with her family in 1999 and received a lifetime achievement award from the Grammys in 2005.
