CPS is seeking a new location for central office employees and operations. The staff has been reduced by about 30 percent since 2009. The goal is to move the office to a new location.
If a suitable one is not found, the office will be consolidated within the current building and empty office space can be leased.
CPS faces a $1 billion deficit in the fiscal year 2014 budget.
