Reward offered in Elgin woman's death

March 12, 2013 (ELGIN, Ill.)

Lisa Koziol-Ellis's husband, Dash Ellis, made a plea to his wife's killer during a news conference at the Elgin Police Department.

The woman was found dead in her home on garden crescent drive earlier this month.

Authorities say the victim's husband found her body and called police.

Tuesday he shared memories of his wife.

"She was the most amazing person I've ever met," Dash Ellis said. "She was kind and generous and loving. She was an artist, just a beautiful person.

Police are not saying whether Koziol-Ellis was targeted or whether she was surprised by a burglar at her home.

Her death was Elgin's first homicide of the year.
