Deputies with the Cook County Sheriff's Eviction Unit found a 3-foot snake in a Chicago apartment Tuesday morning.

City of Chicago Animal Control responded and removed the snake, which they identified as a Burmese python.

The snake was in an aquarium inside a bedroom in the 500-block of East Bowen.

No injuries to the deputies or the snake were reported, police said in a press release.

Just last month, the eviction unit turned up a 2-foot alligator on the city's North Side, according to the release.
