Female body pulled from Chicago River

The body of a 41-year-old woman was pulled from the North Branch of the Chicago River Tuesday morning.

The body of a woman was pulled from the North Branch of the Chicago River Tuesday morning.

Police were notified at about 8:15 a.m. of a body in the river near the 4200-block of West Foster Avenue.

The Police Marine Unit was called to the scene.

The body was pulled from the river and identified as that of a 41-year-old woman. Her identity won't be released until next of kin is notified.

Detectives are conducting a death investigation.
