Man allegedly threatens judge with 'death and destruction'

March 28, 2013 (CHICAGO)

Alexander Wood is charged with threatening a Cook County judge. The west suburban Aurora man is accused of leaving a voicemail for a public defender in which he said he "wishes for the death and destruction of the judge who presided over the case," according to a statement from the Cook County Sheriff's Office. The man also "expressed a desire to take revenge on the judge," according to the statement.

Wood was arrested at his place of employment.

In October 2011, the judge sentenced Wood to 18 months of probation for making threats to a corporation.
