New Jersey State Police say troopers arrived at a home in the 100 block of Lenape Terrance around 8:00 a.m. Friday.
Troopers immediately took Darrin Plumlee, 43, into custody. Investigators say he lived at the home.
Once inside, troopers found Merry Abernathy, 30, dead. Police say she had obvious signs of trauma.
Investigators believe the two were in a relationship.
Plumlee is currently hospitalized for treatment of a self-inflicted injury, police say.
He has been charged with murder.
