HELP FOR VICTIMS:

    DeMontrond in Conroe will be collecting items to take to West, TX. Please consider donating bottled water, toiletries, blankets, diapers, formula, bottles, toys, adult diapers, peroxide, alcohol, gauze, medical supplies, cots, air mattresses, pillows, dog food, cat food and pet crates or carriers. Donations should be brought to DeMontrond in Conroe at 888 IH45 South, Conroe, Texas 77304.

    Gallery Furniture is taking cash donations as well as Red Cross approved items such as water, Gatorade, energy bars, snacks, clothing, blankets, toiletries, diapers, formula, toys, adult diapers, peroxide, rubbing alcohol, medical supplies, and air mattresses. They are collecting the items today until 10pm at the North Freeway location at 6006 I-45. These items will be loaded onto Gallery Furniture trucks and taken directly to those in need.

    Texas Gov. Rick Perry said state resources have been mobilized to help local authorities after the explosion. The governor released a statement late Wednesday night, saying state officials are "monitoring developments and gathering information as details continue to emerge about this incident."

    The American Red Cross helps families and communities in times of need. If you can donate, your help is needed.

American Red Cross's Safe and Well website: This allows people to register their status with the Red Cross so family members can search for them.
