Two attempted robberies of Loyola University students last week in Chicago's North Side have prompted a campus alert.

The two incidents happened last week.

One happened last Saturday on 6200 block of North Winthrop Avenue.

The other was on Thursday on the 6600 block of North Newgard.

Officials say the Loyola students were attacked by robbers while walking in these areas.

However, both of the students were able to flee.

Police are telling students to stay alert when walking alone off the Loyola campus.
