A Good Samaritan came to the rescue of one Des Plaines family whose home was flooded during last week's storms.

JC Restoration of Rolling Meadows helped Sheree Brussa and her disabled son pack up all their belongings that weren't damaged by flood waters.

Brussa's 6-year-old son suffers from serious medical issues, including cerebral palsy.

The president of JC Restoration, Warner Cruz, heard about the single mom's home, and says he felt the need to help her.

Cruz heard about Brussa and her son while attending a fundraiser for Operation North Pole, which helps seriously ill children like Joey.
