Some of the 911 calls made as storms and flooding moved through Fox Lake roughly two weeks ago have been released.

"There's a truck in the ditch up to its windows in the water, and they're trying to get it out. And they have, like, tow straps and stuff," one says.

"Hi, um, I think my house got struck by lightning. We were in the girls' room, which is on the second floor, and all of a sudden we heard a loud boom and then sparks fly out the window," another said.

Governor Pat Quinn declared 48 Illinois counties state disaster areas. In the village of Fox Lake, the water crested just shy of the all-time flood record that was set in 1960.
