The K-9 Comfort Dogs from Lutheran Ministry in Addison were honored in New York. They appeared on "Good Morning America" and were given a spa day and a new transportation van.
The cuddly pooches are trained to interact with people who have faced a traumatic situation.
The dogs have traveled to Connecticut and Boston, where they are helping some of the victims from the Sandy Hook tragedy and the marathon bombings cope with their loss.
