The plane made an unscheduled stop in South Carolina, where federal agents removed three passengers from the plane and searched the carry on compartments. The plane was allowed to continue on to Providence and landed two hours later than expected.
A spokesperson from Southwest Airlines said there was a misunderstanding over the storage of some luggage.
