Meatheads Voracious Reading Program

Meatheads joined us in the studio to demonstrate how to make its Hawaiian Burger and discuss the kick-off of its third Annual Voracious Summer Reading Program.

Meatheads is kicking off its its Voracious Reading Program on June 17. It runs through August 31. The goal is to help 100,000 kids keep reading this summer while they are out of school.

1. The Voracious Reading Program works like this: students must read 5 books to earn a reward of one little Meathead burger. Students can print out a certificate at www.meatheadsburgers.com. A parent or guardian signature is required for each award.

2 Location: All 11 Chicago area Meathead locations: Bloomington, Champaign, Elmhurst, Frankfort, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Normal, Northbrook, Roscoe Village, Schaumburg, Willowbrook. Four more locations, including Barrington and Lincolnwood, are scheduled to open in 2013.

BURGERS:
Meatheads has a variety of burgers at Meatheads including a Cajun Sunrise and Californian burger. The Hawaiian Burger is as it is a favorite summer items - it blends sweet and spicy:

-Start with 1/3 certified angus beef
- Add pepper jack cheese, bacon, bbq sauce, pineapple and of course fresh jalapenos.
