A teenage survivor of Chicago gun violence received his high school diploma Sunday.

Leo High School senior Miles Turner made the big trip across the stage at the school's graduation ceremony Sunday afternoon.

Turner was shot five times while he was walking with his cousin last fall.

His injuries left him in a coma, clinging to life for six weeks.

The graduation is a big step on his journey to recovery and a future he says will include furthering his studies in college.
