June 3, 2013 (CHICAGO)

Two women were brought to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after their vehicle collided with a firetruck. They are believed to be in serious to critical condition. The crash happened at 4 p.m.

Officials say fire engine number 13 had lights and sirens on as it responded to an emergency call at a downtown high rise. Witnesses say the accident happened when a driver of a Nissan Sentra turned in front of the truck on Columbus, sending the car careening into a parked car and possibly a light pole.

The victims had to be cut from the vehicle. There was also a baby seat in the back of the vehicle but authorities say the child was not in the car at the time of the accident. it's also unclear if any firefighters or fire personnel were injured.
