June 11, 2013 3:24:43 PM PDT
Police in the northwest suburbs are hoping someone can help identify a man who tried to lure a 12-year-old girl into his car.

Rolling Meadows police released a sketch of the man who on Sunday morning drove up to the girl as she was walking to a soccer game through a parking lot near Barker Avenue and Algonquin Road.

Police say the man spoke to the girl in Spanish and demanded that she get into his car. She was able to run away.

The suspect was driving what is described as a silver four-door sedan with damage on the right front and right rear of the vehicle.

The man is described as Hispanic, early 20s, thin build with short, spiked hair wearing a red Chicago Bulls tank top jersey with a white t-shirt underneath and a long, thick, silver necklace with a circular-shaped pendant.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rolling Meadows Police Department at 847-255-2416 or the Rolling Meadows Crime Stoppers at 847-590-STOP (7867).
