Devonte Scott, 21, of the 6500 block of S. Peoria St., is accused of running down the 65-year-old grandmother and the 14-year-old boy Monday.
Police say they were crossing the street in the 6400-block of South Paulina when they were struck. Scott faces several charges, including leaving the scene of the accident, driving without a license, not wearing a seat belt, inadequate rearview mirrors and broken or cracked glass.
