Parents of children attending a North Side public school say it is one of the best in the city but is still facing big budget cuts in the next school year.

They say Burley Elementary at 1600 W. Barry has lost funding for five teachers, all art programming will be eliminated, and physical education will be cut in half.

"We are a magnetic cluster for reading and literacy, we are going to possibly lose funding for that, that is a very scary thought for many of us," said parent Oren Adar.

ABC7 has made calls to Chicago Public Schools, but so far, they have had no comment on the parents' allegations.
