July 3, 2013 (PRESCOTT, Ariz.)

Taps was played, as people paused to remember the firefighters at the ceremony in Prescott, Arizona.

The name of each firefighter was spoken aloud during the memorial.

After a moment of silence, 19 purple balloons were released into the air.

Among the crowd gathered was the lone survivor, Brendan McDonough.

McDonough had notified the crew of the changing wind conditions on Sunday before escaping the flames.
