Workers at the airport will be exempt from the new O'Hare surcharge, which will charge riders $5.00 to ride one-way from the terminal. They will be able to board the El at O'Hare for free until July 12th, because special employee fare cards haven't been processed yet, according to the CTA.
Chicago Card and Chicago Card Plus customers are also exempt from the surcharge if they purchase pre-paid unlimited-ride fares.
