Before marching in a parade in Arlington Heights, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signed a series of bills that will make it easier for veterans to get jobs in Illinois.

"We want to make sure that all of our veterans, all of our service members, when they come home, we treat them properly," said Quinn.

One measure lets veterans bypass a commercial driver's license skill test if they have experience driving military vehicles.

Another will let some veterans join the Illinois State Police even if they do not have a college degree.
