A group of residents delivered a letter Monday to CHA officials protesting the proposal to sell the land at 51st and State Street.
The CHA says the land will be used to develop a tennis complex that will house two properties, one of which will be mixed-income.
Protesters say of the 4,300 Robert Taylor units demolished, only 300 have been replaced.
In a statement, the CHA says the tennis village will encourage job growth and community building.
