Dementia linked to anemia?

Anemia is known for making people feel tired and sluggish, but a new study at UCSF suggest it might also be connected with dementia. A study that looked at 2,500 elderly people found those with anemia were 41-percent more likely to develop dementia, a condition that affects one in five people over the age of 65. The exact connection still isn't clear, and dementia can occur for a variety of reasons. The first step- visiting a doctor.
