Police warn of attempted sexual assault in Lincoln Park

Chicago police are warning people about an attempted sexual assault in Lincoln Park.

A woman was waiting for her friend to return to her home in the 2100 block of North Magnolia Avenue when a man attempted to sexually assault her about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, according to an alert from Area Central detectives.

The attacker is described as a 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 Hispanic man with a dark complexion and black hair, police said. He is 40-44 years old and 120 to 150 pounds.

Police suggest people walk in pairs or groups and dial 911 to report suspicious activity.
