Deandre Minor, 28, is charged with attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault, robbery and home invasion. He is accused of entering a home Friday morning in the 1200-block of North Stone.
The 54-year-old victim woke up to find the suspect standing over her. Her screams woke up a house guest who chased the suspect out of the home.
Chicago police arrested Minor before he could get out of the building.
"I've definitely lived in this neighborhood alone as a girl and that's terrifying to hear," said Kaira Kristenbergs. "Those are things you hear on Law and Order, not in real life. So, terrifying, for sure."
The victim was not seriously injured.
