DuSable Museum hosts March re-enactment

August 24, 2013 (CHICAGO)

One speaker said while many African Americans have excelled, for many the dream has not been fulfilled.

"We cannot judge the progress for an entire race of people by the illusion of progress in a few of its members," said activist Thomas Todd. "True progress must be measured by the quality of life of the masses."

The re-enactment took place at the DuSable Museum. The goal was to give young people a sense of what the March on Washington was like.
